The Workforce Gap

Students entering today's workforce will encounter AI in nearly every profession.

From hospitality and agriculture to healthcare, marketing, and technology — the gap between what schools teach and what employers expect continues to grow.

AI Coachella Valley was created to bridge that gap — helping people move from learning about AI to working with AI.

Our Mission

A new kind of workforce requires a new kind of preparation.

We serve students, community members, and working adults across the nine cities of the Coachella Valley. Our programs are hands-on, community-grounded, and designed for people with no prior technical background.

Operating from the Entrepreneurship Resource Center in Palm Desert, in partnership with CSUSB, we're building the region's first dedicated AI literacy and workforce readiness infrastructure.

AI Builder Workshops

Hands-on sessions where students and community members learn to use AI tools to solve real-world problems. No coding background required. Participants leave with projects they can show employers.

Community Build Sprints

Participants work in small teams to build simple AI tools that solve real problems for local organizations and small businesses. Community needs become real project briefs — and real portfolio work.

The future of AI should not be shaped only by large technology companies. Communities should help shape it too. That's what AICV is built to do — not as an abstract mission, but as a practical, on-the-ground program that meets people where they are across the nine cities of the Coachella Valley.

AICV was founded by Sat Singh, a technology entrepreneur and TEDx speaker who has spent the past decade building startups and helping communities understand the impact of AI on the future of work.

In 2025 we hosted over 30 workshops with more than 300 participants. In 2026 we're building the infrastructure to scale that work — through the Workforce Bridge Marketplace, expanded partnerships, and a deeper presence in Valley classrooms and community spaces.
